About IMI

Director’s Message

Greetings and warm welcome to the portals of the International Management Institute Delhi (IMI Delhi), India’s first corporate-sponsored Business School!

The founders of IMI Delhi have built this institution with a sense of clarity and purpose, which has set in motion for it a clear objective. This objective has been to promote IMI Delhi as an institute which provides significant opportunities to learn, grow and most importantly, develop and hone multiple skills across various disciplines of management.

You will no doubt agree that what distinguishes an Institute among other things is the strong and multi-disciplinary intellectual capital of its Faculty team. With due modesty, we at IMI Delhi take pride in this resource as a strong competency and strength. Besides this, IMI Delhi also has other noteworthy advantages, including its excellent location in the heart of the Capital. A strong focus on industry alliances and partnership complements this strength, where you will find learning not only as a rewarding experience but also relevant, meaningful and enjoyable.

At IMI Delhi, we believe that openness to change and feedback is an important element of progress. This is more so given the fast pace of change that we are witnessing in the external environment, which is both dynamic and at times unpredictable. To keep pace with this demand, we have enhanced our focus on areas of self-study, group working and peer level interactions, which foster a sense of collaborative working and team spirit, so very vital for success in today’s corporate environment.
Quite importantly, we would like future mangers that we educate at IMI Delhi to be citizens who are conscientious professionals, combining the good qualities of both the heart and mind. Our emphasis on traits of humility, integrity and simplicity as the guiding pillars of learning emphasizes this.
Given the increasingly dynamic nature of the business and external environment, we at IMI Delhi have found it appropriate to provide an added thrust to our engagement with our varied stakeholders, so as to encourage and promote a learning environment.
The impressive blend of academic rigour-based and industry-oriented eclectic faculty mix provides an advantage to IMI Delhi in this regard and makes us well equipped to partner with corporate houses, the government and other lead knowledge based agencies to find purposeful solutions for the emerging needs of today’s as well as future managers, bureaucrats and other senior functionaries whose task is to develop their overall competencies. At IMI Delhi, these take the form of specific as well as issue based packages. These include Management Development Programmes (MDPs), Training Modules as well as in-situ Development Initiatives across different disciplines for our stakeholders.

With this perspective, the Institute constantly endeavours to upgrade its intellectual capital and the know-how and skill levels of its faculty team. These take the form of among other things, projects and learning programmes at international institutions of repute. A dedicated faculty team addresses some of the present and emerging issues pertaining to this.
Going forward, partnering and developing solutions for tomorrow’s managers and change agents will be an area of important attention at IMI Delhi. Towards this, the Institute is now focusing on extending its scope and reach so as to deliver value to a larger constituency of its stakeholders nationally and internationally.
As you go through the pages that follow, you will learn and get to understand more about ‘Achieving the unique IMI Delhi Experience’!
